UPDATE: Police have charged a man following the armed robbery of a convenience store in Caboolture yesterday.

It will be alleged around 9.50am, a man armed with a syringe entered the Spar convenience store on Morayfield Road and made demands for money from the store employee.

The man was handed a sum of cash before fleeing on a pushbike.

A short time later police detained a man on Frank Street and he was taken into custody without incident.

No-one was physically injured during the robbery.

It will be alleged the man also robbed the same convenience store on April 13.

A 40-year-old Morayfield man has been charged with two counts of armed robbery and enter premises with intent to commit an indictable offence, and one count of burglary.

He is due to appear in Caboolture Magistrates Court today.

A police spokeswoman said the man allegedly held up the supermarket armed with a syringe.

She said there aren't  believed to be any injuries and investigations are continuing.
