Vegetation fire burning on suburban street

UPDATE: A QUEENSLAND Fire and Emergency Service spokesperson said two crews were on scene of a vegetation fire burning on Rarity St.

"Crews are unable to gain access to the fire as it is burning on inaccessible land," the spokesperson said.

"They have the blaze under control and are working to blacken it out.

"It poses no threat to property at this time."

EARLIER: QUEENSLAND Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are on scene at a vegetation fire burning near Rarity Street at Caboolture.

The fire broke out around 12pm and is not threatening properties at this time.

Smoke is affecting the area, including the D'Aguilar Highway and Bruce Highway.

Motorists should drive with caution and to conditions.

Residents are asked to close windows and doors and if suffering from a respiratory condition, keep medications close by.

If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
